Fresno Overnight Canvassing Trip

Swing Left East Bay is going all in on Congressional District 22 for 2026. Of the five districts reshaped by Prop 50, this one will be the toughest to flip, and that’s exactly why it matters.

This event is for the full weekend – Saturday and Sunday. The plan: carpool down Saturday morning, canvass in the afternoon, enjoy a group dinner, canvass again Sunday, and head home late Sunday afternoon. We’ll help coordinate rides and lodging. Until a candidate is selected in the June primary, we’ll use an innovative new program to have deep conversations with voters to learn about what matters to them most, rather than canvassing for a specific candidate. The insights gathered will be shared with campaigns, so they can be responsive to voters’ needs and smarter with their messaging, targeting, and outreach.

No experience is required. We’ll provide training and everything you need. We know asking for an entire weekend, not just a few hours, is a big ask. But this moment calls for all of us to show up in a big way. You don’t need to be a seasoned canvasser, just willing to step outside your comfort zone and committed to making a difference.
